Frozen

~~~
Which seems largely also to describe my blogging activity. I'm sorry about my scarcity around the place.
But I am hatching, good things with wonderful people.
Certainly worth a little wait, these images! I can hear the crackle in the frosted morning.
These photographs are like a pictorial essay on frost. The composition with angular bits of metal stands out in mind. But they are all memorable. You seem to have had a lot more frost than we have. I miss it.
Absolutely gorgeous, Lucy!! Keep up your great work. My favorite too is the one of the metal odds and ends! Even manmade things can be beautiful in your hands!!
Ooh, wow, everyone is breathtaking! You could print each one large and frame it.
Beneath Ice
I woke up so cold,
Looked above my head, saw ice.
I float beneath ice,
In an awkward state
Of mind, like a lily pad
Turning red in shame.
Why I should be shut off so,
Is this somehow my choosing?
They look really really pretty. Especially when the outside temp is 17degC. Yes, C.
We had a beautiful thick fog the other day; I wish so much I'd had a camera handy! These are great!
Now I'm very curious about what's hatching....
This can't be Brittany. Britanny's snorkelling in rocky inlets and a bit of a blow round Ouessant. Here in Hereford it's 10 deg C and if the temperature were to drop we'd warm ourselves (courtesy of "Have I got news for you") by throwing another pile of sterling on the fire.
I love every single square centimeter of your blog today. I want to live in that world.
..of your blog post, I mean. These photos. Of course, the rest of your blog is very nice always, but today it is sublime.
Wow..I can feel the freeze. Sometimes I do hope I can feel how it's like to have snow..but since I'm more of a sunny person (and easily catches cold even with a few inches of rain), I better be thankful with my hot environment. Lovely lovely way to show things around you Lucy.
PS:I downloaded Picasa just like you recommended..still not so use to it but I know it's cool. Will familiarize myself this holidays..
Oh wow, these are some real stunners, Lucy!
Thanks all, so much, and for your loyalty in the face of my neglect of you!
This is perhaps the second frost we've had, we don't get a lot of it here, and though thick, was actually quite soft, beginning to melt before I came back up the garden, as the sun rose. But it made even the debris of broken up chicken houses, old slates and black polythene at the bottom of the garden look quite pretty!
I'm imagining how the last two pictures might look if blown up to 10x12. I believe they'll pan out nicely.
Excellent subjects all, and well composed.
Beautiful compositions, Lucy. You certainly have an eye for a good picture.
Can I enquire what camera/lens you are using?
Very very pretty but cold! Here in Edinburgh it's mild and windy. Happy Christmas!
Wonderful post! Lovely cooling sights for my slightly overheated eyes!
Thanks all, again.
Avus, the camera is our bridge ( ie sort of semi-compact, fixed lense), Powershot S31s. Well recommended, I think probably still available. The link is to a very comrehensive, and positive, review.
These are fabulous Lucy -the second lily pad short especially -the sharp lines and the curves -just fabulous.
Absolutely beautiful, Lucy. Some of these have the precision and detail of steel engravings.
Well, you certainly don't need a new camera for Christmas. Happy days, Lucy!
I miss you! Hope things are well in your world beyond this world we share.
This is a neat series. I especially love the pond ones. They make me think of fossils.
Happy new year! (I'm more excited for the rollover than I was for Christmas!)
